one girl's journey to let go of the rulebook and embrace her already abundant life

Rooted

The tree of every season reminds me that sometimes life flowers, sometimes it looks barren. The visible portion of the tree changes. It cycles.

But the roots don’t change.

So often we worry about what’s above the ground. What it looks like. How it stands up to the weather.

We ignore our roots … our strength … our source of deep nourishment … the foundation of all that IS seen.

What are you rooted in?

“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-4)
