Five Minute Friday: Grow
Today I am joining new friends at The Gypsy Momma in her 5-Minute Friday challenge. Each week she posts a word. Set your timer for 5 minutes and just write. No stopping. No editing. Only 5 minutes. Just my style!
Today’s Topic: GROW
Grow. Stretch. Reach. Try new things. I’m trying to do more of that. Opening my heart and mind to grow in gratitude. Grow in grace. Grow in giving of myself. So far I’ve been lucky to avoid the growing pains. It seems when I am growing in the gifts God has given me to use, the growing feels like a natural reaching — like a sprout reaches for the sun. It’s still nerve-racking. Still requires courage. But small changes are adding up to big results. Reaching for worthy goals.
And I am reminded again this morning of the poem the Holy Spirit whispered to me last spring:
The sky is gray.
I will bloom anyway.
For surely the sun is coming.

Okay–= I was tickled to see you get in on this with Gypsy Mama– I know I sent you the link and now I want to figure out how to get in on it myself. I SEE YOU– growing in grace– and it’s beautiful. And– the fruits are as consistant — as my Morning Glory! I love watching each day unfold for you as you simply choose to turn your face to the Son and just — bloom!
I loved this….”It seems when I am growing in the gifts God has given me to use, the growing feels like a natural reaching — like a sprout reaches for the sun.” I think this is so true. When we are in our area of spiritual gifting, even though it can be stressful at times, there is a natural reaching. I have felt this, too.
Enjoyed my time here-
